VFJ Technology Group was established in Australia by three founding members, the initials of each of whom were taken to form the company name.
Incorporated in Sydney in 1992 with a paid up capital of A$2.5 mln, VFJ Technology Pty Ltd is one of the pioneers in the world in the research and development of the Mifare technology. In 1996, VFJ Technology (HK) Ltd was incorporated with a paid up capital of HK$60 mln to supplement the application and business development activities especially in major emerging markets like China, India and Brazil. Throughout these years, significant achievements were made with VFJ readers and solutions fulfilling the ISO14443 and ISO9001 quality standards in a wide range of applications. VFJ installations are found in transport systems such as buses, metros and tollways, access controls and parking meters, spanning across wide geographical areas in Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Singapore, India, Italy and Brazil.
The successful completion of the automatic fare collection system for the first Beijing Metro line in 2003 and a satisfactory trial of 3 year operation resulted in a Final Acceptance Ceremony held in Beijing in December 2006. The event speaks volume of the total customer satisfaction on the professionalism and technical competence of VFJ staff and the reliability of the robust and secured products VFJ offered.
Looking forward, VFJ will capitalize on its technological advantage in the development of contactless payment applications. In June 2008, our newly designed Presto3 contactless card reader received the certification from MasterCard® as an approved PayPass™ vendor product. And VFJ is in a position to undertake projects in integrating the “tap and go” transactions into the current POS payment systems in any business operation. |
