Readers in this series comply
with ISO/IEC 14443 Type A standard. The reader and antenna
are integrated in one small package, using the MIFARE
technology as part of its integrated solution. Audio
and visual feedback are provided by a built-in buzzer
and three LED indicators. Keypad is available as an option.
Products in this series can be used as stand-alone or
networked devices. They are end-user programmable to
handle specific customer requirements. A range of utilities
are provided to facilitate development of applications
and card management.

Readers in this series comply
with ISO/IEC 14443 Type A and B standards and are able
to access all Mifare compatible cards. The combined reader
and antenna utilize an advanced micro-controller technology
developed by Motorola. They come with a powerful industry
standard multi-tasking operating system and a dynamic
set of development tools. As an intelligent device, they
are well suited for both stand-alone operation and third
party system integration. They have also been installed
with two SIM card sockets which comply with ISO 7816-3
standard.

The Type A+B stand-alone bus
validator has been designed specifically for public transport
applications. With the contactless card reader, antenna,
graphic display, audio and visual indicators as well
as various network interfaces all enclosed in a waterproof
case, it is an ideal front-end device for the transport
industry. A powerful real time operating system together
with high level contactless card access commands, robust
communication protocols and standard device driver interface
libraries provide a convenient environment for third
party application developers.

Software and Development Kit

VFJ software extends beyond
the basic level of operation with real time operating
system which optimizes all the necessary functions intended
for the application. There are three components of this
robust software:
- Smartcard Security Manager (Smartsman)
- Smartcard Development Kit
- Card Reader Application Programming Interface
The development kit and software are designed for the 32 bit (Windows 9x/NT/ME/XP) platform.

Presto3 is our newly developed contactless reader certified by MasterCard® for PayPass™ application. Its robust design makes it well suited for different environments, both indoor and outdoor. Using a ferrite-shielded antenna, it functions perfectly well unaffected by any interference from metal objects in its vicinity.
